Get Instant Appointment Notifications on Telegram (Setup Guide for Solo Pros)

A five-minute setup for solo providers who want a phone buzz the second someone books, cancels, or reschedules — not an email buried under twelve newsletters.

You find out about a new booking three different ways, depending on the day. Sometimes it's checking your email between clients. Sometimes it's opening the dashboard out of habit. Sometimes it's the client showing up and you scrambling to confirm you actually had them down.

None of those are great. Email notifications get buried under marketing junk within an hour. Refreshing a dashboard is just checking a thing that hasn't changed yet, ninety percent of the time. What you actually want is your phone buzzing the second something happens — booked, cancelled, moved — the way a text message works.

That's what the Telegram notifications do. Here's how to turn them on, and what you'll actually get once they are.

Connecting your account

Open Settings, find the Telegram section. If it's a Connect Telegram button, tap it.

You'll get a personal link, good for about fifteen minutes. Tap it and it opens Telegram (installing the app first if you don't have it), landing you in a chat with the Teya bot. Tap Start.

That's it. Within a few seconds the Settings page should show "Connected to Telegram" — if it doesn't right away, just refresh the page once. If the fifteen minutes run out before you get around to it, no harm done, just generate a fresh link with the same button.

One thing to know

Each Telegram account can only be connected to one Teya account at a time. So if your personal Telegram is already linked somewhere else and you try connecting it again here, it'll say no rather than quietly mixing up two businesses' notifications. If that happens, either disconnect it from the other account first, or use a different Telegram account for this one — a second phone number works, or a Telegram account made just for the business.

What you'll actually get

Three kinds of messages, sent the moment they happen — no need to open the app to know what's going on:

Thu, Jul 9
2:00 PM – 2:50 PM (50 min)

Client: Alex Cho

Booking cancelled — same idea, so you immediately see a slot opened back up without having to check the dashboard.

Booking rescheduled — shows the old time and the new one together, so you're never left wondering whether "Thursday 2pm" is the appointment that moved or the one still standing.

That's genuinely the whole feature. No links to click, nothing else to open — the message itself tells you everything you need, whether that means glancing at your calendar or just carrying on with your day.

Turning it off

Once you're connected, there's a Disconnect button in the same spot Connect used to be. Tap it and the notifications stop right away — none of your bookings are affected, you just stop hearing about new activity through Telegram. Reconnect any time; it takes the same few seconds it did the first time.

If your Settings page doesn't show a Connect button at all, that just means this feature hasn't been switched on for your account yet — nothing wrong on your end, and nothing for you to fix. Reach out and ask for it to be turned on.
